Our Day Out, March 2018 - Message from Mary
The second 2018 Project is called
"Our Day Out"
This is in partnership with Creative Arts East who are running a programme of activities for people with early onset and stage one Alzheimer's disease.
I will be teaching some songs and we will be song writing over the course of six weeks. Where you come in is on the Big day out on Thursday 29th March 2018 at Dereham Memorial Hall. This is when we all come together and have "Our Big Day Out" singing the songs together and have a celebration at the end of their six weeks of singing. Involving lots of tea and cake.
I hope you will be available to be involved in this because I think it will be a good afternoon and a powerful thing for the participants to experience singing in a large group.
Some of you came to Watton in April to sing with a small group of participants taking part on this project. It made a real impact on the people taking part, not only musically but socially.
Two of the participants were signposted and turned up to Sing Your Heart Out which is a life line for so many people.
So there you are exciting things ahead. I have given quite a lot of notice for those of you who would like to be involved in this
