Once you're in Zoom, if there seem to be difficulties, try logging out by clicking on Leave Meeting and logging in again completely anew with the same details. This often fixes glitches.
If you're new to the software, there are a few things to note, usually at the bottom of the screen on a computer or the top of the screen on a tablet, you'll find a view choice - you can go to Speaker view which will let you see mostly Laura, or you can go to Gallery view which will let you see everyone logged in if they have their video on. If you want to check your own mic and camera, this is a handy online test: https://www.onlinemictest.com/webcam-test/
One of the most important things to note is the Mute command. You need to have your own microphone muted while we sing. Laura will probably do this for all of us. We can't listen to each other because there's a time lag and also you get dreadful "feedback" screeching. The Mute command is a picture of a little mic. Once you've said Hello, please mute yourself.

This is the email sent 7 April with the Zoom link and passwords
Dear Joyfuls
Laura has been working hard to find a way for us all to meet online to sing and keep in touch. She will be using Zoom and sessions will start at 8 pm for around half an hour or so. Laura plans to share some fun warm ups and rounds - some new, some we are familiar with.
Tonight will be a try out session for any of you picking this email up in time - we know it is very short notice for tonight., but let's see how we get on!
Here's what you do:
You will need to click on the link below to join the meetings. If you already have Zoom, you'll go straight to the meeting. If it is your first time using Zoom, you'll be guided through the software download steps. You can download the software well before the meeting using this link and then click Leave Meeting until tonight.
Please try to join the meeting about 10 mins early in case there are glitches. You'll see screens telling you to wait for the host to start and you can test your audio. Near the time you'll be asked for the Meeting ID and the password - both are below. These numbers won't change as we go through the term.
